EXAMINATIONS PATTERN

The performance of the learners shall be evaluated in two parts internal assessment with 25% marks by way of continuous evaluation and by semester end assessment with 75% marks by conducting the theory examination.

  • a. Internal Assessment :- It is defined as the assessment of the learners on the basis of continuous evaluation as envisaged in the credit based system by way of participation of learners in various academic and correlated activities in the given semester of the programme.
  • b.Semester End Assessment:- It is defined as the assessment of the learners on the basis of performance in the semester end theory / written examinations.

  • Active participation in class & overall conduct as a responsible student, mannerism and articulation and exhibit of leadership qualities in organizing related academic activities
    05 Marks
  • For Subjects other than F.C.

  • Semester End Examination - 75 Marks
  • Duration :- These examinations shall be of 2 1/2 Hours
  • Since 2011-12 The University of Mumbai has adopted the Credit Based Semester and Grading System ( CBSGS )
  • All the students will go through the Semester System
  • Each year will be divided into Two Semesters with separate syllabus, examination and grading.
  • Each Semester will have 100 marks examination in all subjects(expect F C).
  • The Passing Standard is 40 % in all semester examinations.
  • T.Y. Classes also follow the above system of internal assessment. The external examination will be conducted by the University of Mumbai.
  • The First and Second year performance will be considered for Final year Degree results.

    A.T.K.T Exam

  • A student who has failed /was absent in the internal assessment (25 marks) can appear for the additional exam before semester end examination.
  • A list of failed student will be displayed on the notice board by the concerned teacher.
  • A student who has failed for internal assessment for all the subjects will not be allowed to appear for the semester and examination.
  • A student who does not appear for both internal assessment as well as semester end examination shall not be eligible to appear at the additional examination.

  • B.A., B.Com & B.Sc. programmes shall carry 120 credits and students shall be graded on the 7 point ranking system as below.

      A.T.K.T Rules

    • A learner of Arts or Commerce faculty who fails in a maximum of two papers per Semester is allowed to keep terms for the next academic year.
    • A learner of The Science faculty who fails in a maximum of Three papers per Semester is allowed to keep terms for the next academic year.
    • Learners found adopting unfair means at the examinations, teats etc. will be dealt with as per the University Rules, MU Act 1994 and the provisions of Act No XXX1/ 1982 as the case may be.
