Anti-Ragging Committee

As per the direction of honorable Joint Secretary of UGC through their circular no. F1- 7/2011(SCT) dated 19th July, 2011 and The Director BCUD, Mumbai University through their circular no. APD/341/233/ of 2011 dated 1st August, 2011, the Principal, K.M.C. College has formed a college level anti ragging committee. The committee constituted following members and got approval in the meeting held on 14-07-2010.

Ragging is a criminal offence. UGC has directed the institutions coming under its jurisdiction to take preventive measures to curb ragging.
The Honorable Supreme Court of India defines Ragging as any act, conduct or practice by which dominant power of senior students, former students or outsiders, is brought to bear on students freshly enrolled or students who are in any way considered junior by other students and includes individual or collective acts or practices which:
1) Involve physical or psychological assault or threat or use of force or Wrongful confinement or restraint
2) Violate the status, dignity and honor of such student.
